MASS Center 4 the Book 2025 Reading Challenge

Join with the entire state for great reading prompts and the chance to win!

12 months of reading challenges

How the challenge works:

  • Choose a book that fits the monthly challenge.  If you’re stuck, consider visiting (or calling) the Wareham Free Library for recommendations!

  • Each month, after you read, fill out this form (massbook.org/readingchallenge) to tell us about the book.

    • Using our submission manager, you will be able to log in and access the entries you’ve logged throughout the year.

    • Dedicated readers will be invited to a year-end celebration hosted by Mass Center for the Book.

    • We will be drawing two names on the last day of each month to win a free book! Make sure you get those entries in before the end of the month.

    • If you read a book in each of the 12 months, you will be entered in a drawing to win 1 of 2 totes filled with books.

  • This is a FUN challenge and anyone can participate!  We'd LOVE to hear your recommendations here at the library if you would like to "sound off" about any of your choices.

EXQUISITE CORPSE POETRY - or ART!

This is an ongoing community challenge!

We began in April of 2023 and the challenge is ongoing!

Grab your familes, friends, co-workers, and anyone else you can think of to WRITE or DRAW your version of an EXQUISITE CORPSE!

This wickedly fun activity doesn't require any ONE person to be responsible and the results are hilarious - similar to a MadLibs game!

Forms for your corpse and the rules may be accessed by clicking HERE.

Check out the story behind the gruesome (but appropriate name) at this SITE.

Pictures on this page show the current corpses provided by staff & community members.
