A partial solar eclipse will be occurring this Wednesday, 16% of the sun will be covered by the moon at peak. (Totality will run through Greenland, Iceland, into Portugal and then Spain). We've managed to find a few pairs of eclipse glasses from last year and welcome you to come to the library and view the eclipse from our courtyard. The eclipse begins at 1:01 p.m. with peak (16% coverage) at 1:55 p.m. The event will be over by 2:46 p.m. WE DO NOT HAVE GLASSES TO GIVE AWAY, as we only have a few pairs. Come on down to the library and share in the usage of the glasses. Bring a snack or lunch to enjoy outside and come watch this solar event. Remember, never look directly at the sun.
