2026 Monthly Book Sale Dates

The book donation cart is open generally from March 2nd through September 30th. Call the library for exact dates. Donations may be dropped off ONLY during regular hours the library is open. Donations may NEVER be left outside the library entrance or placed in the library book return box.
ANNUAL RUBBER DUCK RACE
Each May, we hold a rubber duck race at the Tihonet Pond Canal at the A.D. Makepeace Company at 150 Tihonet Road. The Friends sell ducks which can then be decorated if desired. During the day, we have games, story times, and other fun activities. This year's race will be held on May 17th. Registration begins at 11:00 a.m. and the Race is on at 12:00 p.m.
Get ducks before the race at the library or at Makepeace Farms. Ducks are also available at 11:00 a.m. during registration.
FABRIC SALE AT SPINNEY LIBRARY
Mark your calendars for the Friends of the Wareham Free Library Fabric Sale being held at the Spinney Memorial Library on October 2nd and 3rd. Time of the sale will be forthcoming but we can already guarantee bargains on a wide selection of fabric, yarn and other notions. This is one sale you won't want to miss.
ANNUAL HOLIDAY FAIR and BOOK SALE- December 4th & 5th, 2026
Friday, December 4th from 9:30 to 1:30 p.m. it's the Friend's "Gift Quality Book Sale" then on Saturday, December 5th from 9:30 to 1:00 p.m. they add in home made cookies, gift items and even more books for their annual holiday fair. Come get your holiday shopping started and help support the Friends of the Wareham Free Library.
