This week’s theme: Mother’s Day

We’re celebrating Mother’s Day (on Sun, May 9) for this week’s Virtual Story Time! Miss Marcia reads, “A Special Day for Mommy,” by Dan Andreasen.

In today’s second Children’s Virtual Story Time segment, Miss Marcia shows us how to sign, “I love you mom,” and gives step-by-step instructions on how to make a hand print paper bag flower craft for Mother’s Day.

For today’s Children’s and Young Adult Book Talk, Miss Marcia highlights, “Show Me A Sign,” a historical-fiction novel about the deaf community in the early 1800s on Martha’s Vineyard. This novel is recommended for fourth through seventh graders.
